Thats a common misconception. It used to be the case that the amount of foam or suds that the shampoo creates represents the amount of cleaning power the mix creates. But these days some shampoos create little or no suds, but still wash.

To properly detail a car it can be “rocket science.” As the above user said it is very comnplex to do well.

different paint, different wax. different paint damage, different process. Different pads. Different speed. different type of buffer. Different products for different wheels. Different smells for different people. some cant have smells. Different shampoo method for different jobs. you dont just take any three wax sealer or glaze and put them on top of eachother. lol. NOOB.

I see nothing wrong what he’s doing. All you wannabe profesional detailers who think are experts just because they’ve picked a few tips from a detailing forum(s)- LAFF You then come here like you are the authority on detailing, stealing someone elses tips and don’t credit them. I’m sure you’ve picked up a new thing or two from this vid, then will go talk about it on another forum like it was you own idea. You noobs make me laff. BTW, good video, thanks for the tips.

Sorry but you are mistaken. It’s a common misconception that “top down” is the way to do it. Always clean tires first. Then trim. Then wash the car (yes - top down). The tires/trim then get a good rinse at the end. Otherwise, you’ll be spraying dirt off the tires/trim ONTO your just cleaned paint.

While he isn’t entirely wrong, he still probably doesn’t know what he’s doing. First off, he should be using a pressure washer because it’s much more powerful and more able to rid the car of caked on dirt compared to a simple garden hose. I have no idea why he would do the bottom of the car first. That is just stupid. Top to bottom. ALWAYS. He’s not doing BAD job, but he is moving at a snail pace and the soap has probably already dried on the paint. A big no-no.

While I don’t always agree with this so called idiot he didn’t say or do anything wrong here. If you know better then him then how about you share your opinion instead of just being an insulting tool. Only thing I like to do different is use a orange degreaser on the lower part of the car before I wash it. Then make sure and use the softest microfiber mit I can along with a ph balanced soap.
