The only possible advantage with starting in the centre, working outwards is that if the airline or your clothing catches the job it doesn’t do so much damage. As a pro, you should ensure that neither clothing nor air line will catch the job in the first place. And trust me, on a roof or hood area it makes life so much easier to keep the wet edge by going from one side to centre then centre to the second side!
I’ve been a pro painter since 1968 so aint likely to give duff info its your choice!

ive been painting for about 7 years and i dont understand why guys start painting a hood or roof in the middle of the panel??? whats the reasoning???

You’ll find it easier to keep a wet edge if you spray the roof from one edge to the middle, then the middle to the second edge [side]

im not takin sides here cuz ive had plenty of experience painting from edges to middle and from middle to the edge painting i like doin the edges first just to make sure the edges dont separate but clearing i like goin from the middle to the edges cuz ive hit the hood or whatever with the paint suit or air hose id rather hit the surface without clear rather than from wet edged and sticking to the door or fender or whatever im painting.. try it both ways and see what works best for u..

are you slightly retarded, I have been around auto body business for 16yrs and have never seen a guy paint like your describing unless part is hanging in mid air OFF THE CAR, even if 2 peopl4 arent involved its the best way to assure equal coverage on big flat surfaces, not edging, thats done in the prep phase, get real man buy a dvd before you talk out your ass

Basecoat requires 2 coats. That is normal for the first coat when applying 2pac. There is no ripples in the panel dumbass. Dtick to painting your model cars
